Editorial Policy
How we create, review, and maintain the content you read on Roomit AI. Our standards for accuracy, independence, transparency, and ethics.
Accuracy & Fact-Checking
- Factual claims should be supported by an identifiable source or clearly presented as product guidance rather than measured fact.
- We do not invent statistics, vacancy rates, prices, inventory, user counts, reviews, ratings, or performance results.
- When reliable evidence is unavailable, we label the information unknown, not yet measured, planned, or early access.
Independence & No Conflicts of Interest
- Comparisons must use public, checkable information and state the date or limits of the review where those details matter.
- Roomit must not be ranked first simply because it publishes the comparison, and paid influence must be disclosed if it ever applies.
- Product marketing and measured evidence are different: claims about outcomes require supporting data.
Authorship & Limitations
- Content without a named individual is attributed to Roomit AI; it is not presented as expert-reviewed or assigned a fabricated author.
- A named author or reviewer may be shown only when their identity, role, and involvement can be verified.
- Housing, legal, financial, and safety guidance states its limits and points readers to qualified or official sources when appropriate.
Sourcing & Citations
- Research-based claims should link to primary or authoritative sources close to the statement they support.
- Location pages require defensible local information; a city, campus, or neighborhood name alone is not enough to justify indexing a page.
- Anonymous posts and social commentary may reveal questions to investigate, but they are not treated as verified evidence on their own.
Accessibility & Inclusivity
- We aim for plain language, semantic structure, keyboard access, readable contrast, and meaningful alternative text.
- We use inclusive language that respects all gender identities, cultural backgrounds, and living situations.
- A localized URL is presented as translated content only when the page itself is available in that language.
Corrections & Updates
- Reported errors are investigated and corrected when confirmed; significant changes should be explained when that context helps readers.
- A visible updated date is used only when a page has a meaningful, supportable revision history.
- Readers can report errors via [email protected]. Roomit does not promise an unverified response or correction deadline.
