Housemates talking together in a shared living room

Share a home

Find someone compatible to split rent with.

Roomit treats shared costs and household fit as one decision—whether you already have a home or want to search for one together.

Roomit is collecting early-access interest; it is not claiming live matches or inventory.

Two ways to share

You may need someone to join your current home, or a compatible person to search for a new place with. In both cases, align on budget, move-in timing, utilities, daily habits, and the lease before making a commitment.

01

Share your current home

If you are a tenant, occupant, or household with an available bedroom, describe the space and the household honestly. Confirm that your lease, landlord, and local rules allow another occupant.

02

Search together

If neither person has a place yet, agree on the total budget, neighborhoods, commute needs, move-in date, lease length, and what each person can contribute.

03

Split costs clearly

Discuss rent, deposits, utilities, internet, groceries, parking, and recurring household purchases. Record the agreement and understand who is named on the lease and bills.

04

Check the fit and the facts

Compatibility is decision support, not a guarantee. Meet safely, verify identities, view any property, read the lease, and never send money before independently confirming the arrangement.
